Ideas for beginners

Getting started in a new virtual city can be both exciting and overwhelming, just like in real life, especially if you are a new player. The good news is, there are many ways to get connected and start exploring the city, meet other players and find jobs. Here are a few tips to help you get started in your new virtual life.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the city: Before you start exploring, it's important to get a lay of the land. You can use the map feature in the game to familiarize yourself with the different neighborhoods and landmarks. You can also take a drive around the city to get a feel for the different areas.

  2. Connect with other players: One of the best ways to get connected and make new friends in the city is to create an account on Twitter and introduce yourself as a new resident (never say you are "new to the server", because that is OOC). By participating in group activities, you'll have the opportunity to meet new players, form friendships, and have fun.

  3. Find a job: One of the best ways to start earning money and build your reputation in the city is to find a job. There are many different job options available, from delivery jobs to taxi driving, to mining and farming. You can look for jobs through the in-game job center, or you can ask other players for recommendations. Most jobs you'll need to travel to their POI to work there, if they are not listed in the job center. Some jobs are player managed, like EMS, Police, PDM, Mechanic Shops and Restaurants. You'll need to speak to a manager or command to find out how to apply.

  4. Participate in events and activities: The city is filled with many events and activities that you can participate in, such as car races, dance parties, and skydiving. You can look for events through the in-game Twitter, or you can join a look at the #community-events channel. Participating in events is a great way to meet new players and have fun. If you can't find anything you like, plan your own event and tell people about it in the city! If it's an organized event, mention it in Discord with the date and time to share it with the entire community.

  5. Explore the city: There is so much to see and do in the city, so don't be afraid to get out and explore. You can visit the different shops, cafes, and nightclubs. You can also take a drive to the countryside and visit the farm. The city is your playground, so have fun and see what you can discover.

  6. Explore the dark side: If you're into the criminal life, there are tons of ways to start your empire. You can manufacture, cultivate, and sell certain things, rob houses, find secret heists or become the city's top racer. The choice is yours, and you'll need to form relationships in the city to break into some of these. Others, we think you'll get a hold of it once you gain more experience in the city.

  7. Buy a Fitbit: You can usually buy a FitBit from any medic or down at the Digital Den. This is a great way to keep a check on your food and hydration so that you don't have any unexpected trips to the hospital.

In conclusion, getting started in a new city is all about connecting with other players, finding a job, and exploring the city. With a little effort and patience, you'll soon be on your way to starting your story.

Any activities referenced in this guide or website are imaginary, virtual and only exist within the game server. Under no circumstance should anyone attempt anything they see or do in the game, in real life. This is a video game to have fun, explore and role-play with other like-minded individuals from the comfort of home.

If your character is injured and goes down (appears unconcious), you should use command /311 <msg> and describe your situation. Example: /311 man looks like hes been attacked by a cat, send help!

If you respawn at the hospital (seeing the light), you will lose everything in your pockets! You must be treated at the hospital either with the Nancy (the nurse NPC) at the front desk or by a first responder. To speak with the NPC, you need to use your third eye and target the desk and select Check In.
