Poaching Players / Advertising

Don't be a poacher! Let players choose where they want to play and build their community. Show respect and support for the gaming community by avoiding poaching!

Poaching is an unethical practice in gaming or simulation communities where a person or organization tries to recruit members from an established community to join their own. This is considered a breach of etiquette and is frowned upon as it can harm the stability and cohesion of the original community. Poaching often causes tension and conflict and can lead to the loss of valued members. In order to maintain a healthy and respectful gaming environment, it is important to refrain from poaching and respect the community dynamics of each group. Poaching will result in a permanent ban.

If you join another or come from another server and recruit members of Geo City Roleplay, no matter if it's via Discord or IC, this is a bannable offense.

If you are playing in another FiveM or RedM roleplay server, you are required to change your Discord activity so that Discord does not display your activity as your status in Geo City Roleplay. It is considered advertising a competing server. If noticed, you will be asked to hide it, and failure to comply after 2 hours will result in any roles that hoisted you above other non-allowlisted members to be removed until you respond and hide the activity. If you are a business operator, remember that you must meet the minimum Eligibility requirements. If you are a gang leader, gangs are also required to meet their Eligibility requirements.

It is not considered poaching if someone asks you where you are playing and you tell them in any other means than the city or Discord server. It's only poaching if you intentionally invite or tell someone about another city for no reason. If you fly intentionally to have people ask where you've been, you should not tell them you've been in other cities under any circumstance. Save that for a private conversation if they bring it up to you directly and outside of the server.
